We Need More Cashiers and Baristas in Web3

Although one DeGod disagrees with that sentiment

Let It Go Lower

First thing I saw on the timeline when I woke up this morning (other than $WIF crowdfunding a publicity initiative on the Las Vegas Sphere! but I was awake last night and 5x leverage longed it from 2.6 to 2.83) was this tweet that quickly went viral within and outside the DeGods community.

The rallying cry of DeGods, changing from “Fuck It We Ball” to “Let It Go Lower”.

Then reinterpreted into some sort of elitist hypermasculine messaging?

For context, this refers to the “new plan” for DeGods that was announced 3 days ago which outlined the plan to bring the project back to glory — which was to let the people who were not aligned with the vision sell and leave.

Anyways, the “Walmart cashiers and Starbucks baristas” comment caught the attention of Frank himself, who also weighed in:

The funny thing is, nobody new is entering the NFT space right now.

Anyone — anyone at all, regardless of their skills — should be welcome and onboarded. Not because of their wealth status or their occupation, but because they’re showing interest in NFTs which already represents a different mindset.

Clubs are for people with the same hobbies, interests or mentality to hang out and gather together; the exclusive factor ups the prestige. In the traditional world, it’s easy to segregate based off hobbies or level of wealth. In the digital world, it comes down to the acceptance of an online identity as a monkey JPEG.

So why would you reject a Walmart cashier or Starbucks barista at the door?

If anything, those might end up being the strongest advocate of your brand — and if your brand manages to penetrate mainstream culture so that it reaches the working class, that’s probably a good thing.

Well, that’s my time for today. As always — thank you for taking the time to read my work. I truly appreciate it.
